Charlevoix, the Saguenay fjord, and Gaspésie

Charlevoix leads, then the Saguenay fjord, then the Gaspésie out to Forillon and Percé. Mid-May to mid-October is when the vehicle sites are open. La Mauricie and Parc national du Bic are the shorter lake and coastal stays.

Nights in a Quebec campervan from Grands-Jardins to Forillon

Lichen covers the high plateau in Parc national des Grands-Jardins so thick the park took its name from it, and the walk from Pied-des-Monts climbs Mont du lac des Cygnes. Down-valley, the night is under the Hautes-Gorges walls the Malbaie River cut. Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie are the towns on either side, and the Charlevoix trip is a night on that plateau and a night in the gorge, both inside the UNESCO biosphere reserve.

SÉPAQ lists electricity on some Pied-des-Monts sites, the Grands-Jardins overnight tied to that walk. In Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, SÉPAQ says Le Cran takes every type of equipment, and the Espace VR is the pad for trailers and motorhomes. L'Équerre is a rustic loop you reach on foot, by bike, or by canoe.

As of September 2026, SÉPAQ has closed the Thomas-Fortin service centre and routes vehicles to the Mont-du-lac-des-Cygnes centre. Vehicle camping here runs mid-May to mid-October. Quebec City is the St. Lawrence city night.

The Saguenay fjord

The fjord at Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay is salt water under cliff, and you sleep on the shore at Camping de Baie-Éternité, where SÉPAQ keeps water and electricity for recreational vehicles. Le Bleuvet at Baie-Sainte-Marguerite is the campground by the Halte du Béluga lookout, the platform the park points you to for watching the water. As of September 2026, roadworks in the Baie-Éternité sector add time on the drive in. Tadoussac is the whale town at the mouth, and the Côte-Nord is the coast that keeps going from there.

Gaspésie and Forillon

The Chic-Chocs are tundra on a massif, and then the peninsula ends at Forillon National Park. Parks Canada runs electricity and dump stations at Petit-Gaspé and Des-Rosiers, and lists Cap-Bon-Ami as tents only.

Parc national de la Gaspésie is the inland night under those mountains. SÉPAQ keeps services, laundry, and a dump station at Mont-Albert, and water-and-electricity sites at de la Rivière. The park warns that gravel Route 11 into Lac-Cascapédia has a grade that may not suit large recreational vehicles. If you need more sleeping space than a campervan, look at Quebec RV rentals, which stay at Mont-Albert or de la Rivière because of that grade.

Percé is the other named stop on that loop. Keep driving and the road runs into New Brunswick and Maine.

La Mauricie National Park

Wapizagonke and Mistagance are the paddle, and the night is in the trees between the lakes. Parks Canada built Mistagance, Wapizagonke, and Rivière à la Pêche for tents, trailers, and motorhomes, and each campground has a dump station.

Montreal is the island city, with Laval, Longueuil, and LaSalle the towns around that same stretch of river.

Gatineau is the Ottawa River city. Ontario is the road west, and Vermont the road south.

Parc national du Bic

Seals haul out on the rocks at Parc national du Bic, in the capes and coves along that shore. SÉPAQ keeps electricity sites at Tombolo, and Rivière-du-Sud-Ouest is the loop near Route 132.
