Go to South Beach on Buntzen Lake and swim. Sleep at Golden Ears in Maple Ridge. Book the parking pass the morning before you go.
Buntzen Lake
Swim off South Beach with Eagle Ridge over the reservoir. Diez Vistas is the climb if you want a walk after the water.
Camping and overnight parking are prohibited. From 14 May through 7 September you need the free vehicle pass, as of August 2026. Passes open at 7 a.m. the day before, and the lot is not first-come in that window.
East of Coquitlam, Minnekhada Regional Park is a hike to the lodge above Pitt-Addington marsh. It is day-use only, so the van still sleeps at Golden Ears.

Sleep on Alouette Lake at Golden Ears. Book it from the Maple Ridge campervan page.
If you need hookups the same night, Anmore Camp and RV Park is at the foot of Buntzen, and Burnaby Cariboo is west on Highway 1.
