Loyd Park, AT&T Stadium, and Six Flags

Loyd Park on Joe Pool Lake is the van night for Arlington, a tree-shaded campground in Grand Prairie with electric and water hookups. AT&T Stadium has its own overnight RV lot on game days. Globe Life Field and Six Flags are day parking only, and stadium weekends fill the lake sites too, so lock the overnight before the van.

Joe Pool Lake camping for an Arlington stadium weekend

After a Cowboys game the night is Joe Pool Lake's west shore, in the trees at Loyd Park in Grand Prairie. Each site has a picnic pavilion and a fire ring, and the water is close enough to walk to. You drive into Arlington for kickoff or a park day, then come back to the fire ring. Rangers homestands and Six Flags days use the same pad.

Summer heat is when the electric and water hookups earn their keep, and some sites add sewer. The park's camping page holds a stay to 14 days. You can reserve a site online or take a same-day walk-up before the gate closes at night.

Football season and Rangers homestands fill Loyd Park and the stadium lots on the same weekends, so the lake night and the game are one booking problem. Get the campsite or the stadium RV stall before you book the van.

River Legacy Park in northwest Arlington follows the Trinity River through a hardwood floodplain. The trail is a hike-and-bike path plus a mountain-bike trail, and there is no camping.

AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags

AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags Over Texas share one piece of Arlington, and a weekend is built around whichever of those is on the calendar. On a Cowboys night the retractable roof hangs over the RV lot, and you sleep next to the building. The lot is dry, and the building is the point of that overnight. Six Flags throws its coaster skyline up along the interstate for the other kind of crowd.

Silver Lot 14 is a real overnight on game days, and it is a separate booking from the van. The stadium's parking page sells that space ahead of time, and it is not sold day-of. For most events you arrive the morning before and leave the afternoon after, as of September 2026. There is no electric or water at the stall, and a dump station is on site.

Rigs over 43 feet check with the lot attendant. If you need the extra length or another bed, look at RV rentals in Texas. Globe Life Field's Rangers parking page sends RVs to Camry Lot D for games, and that lot is day parking. Six Flags Over Texas is a day in the park.

If you have another night, Fort Worth is the city west of here, with its own trip.

Cedar Hill State Park

Across Joe Pool Lake, Cedar Hill State Park is the wooded opposite shore and the overflow night when Loyd Park is booked, with water and electric at the developed sites. It belongs to Dallas, and the state park page treats a reservation as the default because the campground often fills.
