Kelso, Glen Eden, and the Niagara Escarpment

Milton's Conservation Halton parks are Niagara Escarpment days, Kelso in summer and Glen Eden on the same slope in winter. None of those parks take a campervan overnight. The nearest van night is Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville.

Campervan days on Milton's escarpment

A Milton summer day is Kelso Conservation Area, the reservoir boardwalk with the Niagara Escarpment above the water. The lifeguarded beach is on that reservoir, and boat rentals use the same shore. Hiking and mountain-bike trails climb the slope behind the beach, and disc golf is in the same park.

In winter that slope is Glen Eden, a ski and snowboard hill with chairlifts on the Kelso footprint. Glen Eden is a snow-season day only, and it stays closed outside that window.

As of September 2026, Conservation Halton has closed the beach and boat rentals for the rest of the season for suspected blue-green algae. The trails, the boardwalk, and disc golf still run.

Kelso and Rattlesnake Point both camp in spring through fall on non-electrical tent sites. Conservation Halton does not permit trailers or other recreational vehicles at any of its parks, so no Milton-area conservation park takes a campervan overnight.

The night is Bronte Creek Provincial Park, an Oakville trip, where every site has electrical. Lock that site before you book the van. If you need more sleeping space or a longer rig than a campervan, look at RVs for rent in Milton.

Rattlesnake Point and Crawford Lake

Buffalo Crag Lookout at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area hangs off the escarpment, turkey vultures overhead, cedars along the rim. The Nassagaweya Canyon Trail is an earthen trail that connects this park to Crawford Lake Conservation Area, a roundtrip hike of roughly 4 to 5 hours.

You walk the boardwalk around the meromictic water at Crawford Lake Conservation Area. It passes three reconstructed longhouses on the old Wendat and Attawandaron village footprint, and the Three Sisters Garden is beside them. The longhouse village keeps weekend and holiday hours year-round, and it adds weekdays through the summer season. Day-visit reservations are not required, though Conservation Halton recommends one.

Hilton Falls Conservation Area

The waterfall at Hilton Falls Conservation Area drops past the stone ruins of an old mill. The Red Oak Trail and the Beaver Dam Trail are the walking loops, and mountain-bike trails take the rest of the park. Swimming is not allowed in the falls or the reservoir, and boating is not allowed in the reservoir.

Mount Nemo Conservation Area

Mount Nemo Conservation Area is the Brock Harris Lookout, climbing routes on the cliffs and caves below. On a clear day you can see the CN Tower in the distance.

A longer Ontario park night is Algonquin, the trip from Toronto. Elora Gorge is the conservation-area overnight from Guelph.
