Two Cruise America promo codes are live as of July 2026, and both attack mileage rather than the nightly rate. FRDU waives mileage charges entirely. FRDM takes 50% off the standard mileage rate for bookings made further out. Several of Cruise America's deepest discounts carry no code at all, which is the part most renters miss.
Cruise America is not a marketplace. It owns and operates its own fleet of Class C motorhomes and truck campers out of RV rental centers across the United States and Canada, which is why it can offer one-way trips that peer-to-peer sites generally can't. It also discounts rentals differently from Outdoorsy, RVshare, or RVezy: alongside codes you type, it runs a rotating set of deals that apply automatically or are booked over the phone.
Current Cruise America promo codes
Both live codes sit on Cruise America's own deals pages, and each deal page shows a promo code button that drops the code into the booking bar.
- FRDU waives mileage charges entirely, which Cruise America puts at a saving of 39¢ per mile off its standard rate. Any size motorhome, any North American rental center. The same code covers the new Ultra Compact RV (the C18).
- FRDM is the early-booking version: 50% off the standard mileage rate, aimed at departures further out.
Both come with the same catch worth reading before you plan around them: they cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion, and FRDU is not valid on one-way rentals. That matters here, because one-way is exactly the trip Cruise America is best at. Its stated departure window also moves, so check the current dates on the deal page.
Codes rotate, and they follow a family pattern. The expired FRD20 that sat on this page for months was from the same series. If you find a Cruise America code anywhere else, check it against the deals page before you plan around it.
The deals that need no code
Several of Cruise America's best offers have no code at all, which is why "there's no promo code" and "there's no discount" are not the same statement here.
Long-term rentals. Rent 21 to 30 nights and take 5% off both the nightly rate and mileage charges; rent 31 nights or longer and that becomes 10%. Applies to any size motorhome from any North American rental center. No code needed, and it can't be combined with another offer.
Relocation specials. When Cruise America needs a motorhome moved back to a hub, it posts that one-way route at a flat nightly rate. Recent postings have run $9 a night out of Phoenix and Chicago, and $39 a night into them, with free miles and no drop fee. These are booked by phone, first requested first served, with departures on weekdays only. Note the deposit is different: relocations carry a $2,000 refundable security deposit at pickup, and the $300 reservation deposit stops being refundable once you confirm.

What the mileage code is actually worth
This is the part most renters get backwards, and it's why FRDU is usually the most valuable thing on the page.
Cruise America charges for miles. The standard rate is 39¢ per mile, and quotes estimate mileage at roughly 100 miles per night for a local rental and 250 per night for a one-way. A two-week loop out of Denver (Moab, up through the Tetons, back) is comfortably 1,500 miles, about $585 in mileage. Ten percent off an $1,800 rental saves $180. Waiving the mileage on that same trip saves more than three times as much.
Renters fixate on the headline percentage and then get surprised by the mileage line on the final invoice. The arithmetic runs differently on the peer-to-peer side, where our Outdoorsy code comes off the nightly rate only and each owner sets their own mileage allowance.
What a discount won't cover
- Security deposit. A minimum of $500 before departure on a standard rental, refundable based on the vehicle's condition at return, and $2,000 on a relocation special.
- Generator time. $3.50 per hour, read off the onboard meter at return. If you plan to run air conditioning off-grid, budget for it.
- Mileage, unless your booking carries an allowance or one of the mileage codes above.
- Kits. Kitchen and personal kits are add-ons, not standard equipment.
Getting the lowest price
Move your dates before you move anything else. Late-spring and September to October departures are consistently cheaper than July and August, and the vehicle is identical.
Be flexible about where you start. Relocation and one-way specials are the deepest discounts Cruise America offers, and they exist purely as a function of which direction the fleet needs to move.
Check the driver age rules if you're under 25. Cruise America rents to drivers 21 and over with a valid license and a major credit card. On the peer-to-peer marketplaces the minimum driver age is set per listing rather than centrally, so it varies from one owner to the next and is worth reading before you book.
Then compare. A Cruise America deal is only a deal once you have checked what the same dates cost elsewhere, and its fleet is standardized enough that the vehicle itself is rarely the deciding factor.
